Group therapy allows children to experience a range of benefits, otherwise not experienced in individual therapy. Children have the ability to work on their speech and language goals in a collaborative and supportive environment, while fostering the opportunity to engage with peers.
Group therapy has been shown to provide a more relaxed, natural environment for children to work towards their therapeutic goals and helps to improve their social interactions and social communication skills.
Most importantly, group therapy makes learning fun and has demonstrated an increase in children’s confidence when communicating with others.
